After yesterday’s awful weather, the glorious sunshine was welcomed and rejuvenating. It was the perfect day for the winter market held by the Oranjezicht City Farm and with the amazing food on offer, as well as the gorgeous setting, it was a no brainer.
There’s a bit of work sometimes when out and about to make sure I find places that I can eat something and not stray off the path. At this market however, there are so many vendors who cater for this type of lifestyle that bacon and eggs is pretty easy to come by – and organic/free range at that.
I also bought a few bits and bobs; I’m most excited about making my own bone broth with the marrow bones I found. Yes, I said excited! Plus, wors and bacon bangers – my goodness. It’s like paleo heaven really.
I then had a meeting and didn’t manage to eat any lunch. Just had some green tea but I wasn’t really that hungry in the afternoon.
Wors. I really love wors. I am so happy to have found gluten free, sugar free, preservative free, clean wors!! Served on shredded and steamed sweet potato, a tomato chutney, asparagus, and a salad. This felt like a cheat meal actually because everything was so delicious!
As you can see, there’s a distinct lack of exercise today. Running around was the only exercise I got. I’m not going to get bogged down by that – I will just get to it tomorrow.
