Oops… I’ve been a bit quiet these past few days with Reboot posts because well, life happens even whilst Rebooting! So it’s a combined post… Again. In the midst of all of it, I attended a Sleekgeek dinner!! This was the most amazing experience because I finally got to meet some of you lovely people who are actually reading this right now! Thank you so much for the support, and for showing me that being me is not so bad after all. Being able to put faces to the names makes it all the more personal, and I am so looking forward to the next dinner! I LOVE this community and honestly, I wish every single person out there would just give it a try and find out for themselves just how within their reach a healthy, healthful, and downright awesome life really is!! Don’t you agree!?
Let’s take a look at some of the food that happened over the last few days then …
Notably, we’re one breakfast short… I’m still getting used to this breakfast thing again! But then I go and do this.. Cashew pumpkin muffins. Holy cow (heeeeey… Is that something to do with the actual Hindu belief in sacred cows…? Hmmm, might need to look into that!). Anyway, back to those muffins. They were amazing. So amazing in fact that I had them for breakfast 2 days in a row; and it tasted even better the next day.
Uh-oh… I didn’t realise that I’d not actually been eating lunch. It’s those breakfasts I tell you!! Plus the eggy coffees. There was one lunch, and that was ‘broccauli’ rice and leftover beef stew.
So it appears I eat dinner. Regularly! Haha!!
You’ll notice a Paleo Monkey meal in there – that was the delicious meal served at the Sleekgeek dinner. We also had a spinach and chorizo soup as a starter – it was a big meal!! I was positively stuffed, plus I drank about 2l of water so was filled to bursting!
At the dinner, meeting these (YOU!) fabulously inspiring people, I learned that there is a Sleekgeek park run happening this Saturday. So I bought myself a branded SG vest to go with my nifty wristband (was given to us at the dinner) and I’m going to sweat it out first thing Saturday! Having completed four 80km walks in my life (yes, waaaaaay back in the day!), I’m hoping I can manage 5km and not be a complete blubbering mess after!!
