Hot ChocoLatte [Paleo, REBOOT, Gluten free, Grain free, Dairy free]

Needing something warm and delicious? Do you like chocolate? Give this dairy free hot chocolatte a try!

I cannot tell you how much I love REBOOT and what it does for me and my body. However, there are things that I miss when REBOOTing. One of those things is a steaming cuppa cocoa when it’s cool out. I’m also reluctant to drink heaps of coconut milk so I had to figure this out so that I could enjoy a chocolatey cuppa ! 

It’s so simple and quick, and I’m going to have to stop myself from making it all the time. It’s creamy, it’s frothy, it’s delicious! I know that I should really push through the cravings and not make a substitute but I’m just gonna say – it was either this, or I was heading to the nearest coffee shop for a proper sugar and dairy laden version. ๐Ÿ˜œ I chose the lesser of two evils!

Right! Back to the chocolatte ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Recipe for Paleo ChocoLatte

Yield: one serving 

Prep/cooking time: 5 minutes 

What you need 

200ml boiling water 

2 tbsp coconut cream 

1 tsp raw cacao powder 

1 tsp coconut oil 

Pinch of cinnamon 

Raw cacao to sprinkle on top 

*optional: add 1/2 tsp coffee to the mix for an extra kick!

What you need to do 

1. Add water and coconut cream to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Mix together until the cream has melted. 

2. Add raw cacao, coconut oil and cinnamon, give it all a stir. Keep stirring until it just about reaches boiling point. 

3. Remove from stove and blend (now be careful, it’s HOT!). 

4. Sprinkle with some raw cacao and enjoy!! 

It’s not too rich and that’s exactly what I wanted! You can of course make it with just coconut milk for a much more decadent version ๐Ÿ˜‰
