Hi and welcome to the Living Spot blog!

As the saying goes, ‘If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans’. Therefore, this isn’t a blog of just one thing, it’s rather a combination of the things that I love and that make me happy – family, food, writing, and stuff (oh I do love the stuff!).

This blog began as a means to keep me on track when I decided that the time had come to get rid of the frumpiness and find my fab. I documented each day throughout my journey on the Sleekgeek REBOOT 30-day challenge, and started adding my recipes as I went along. You will now find meal plans, meal prep guidance, recipes and of course – those initial posts about how it all started. I am so happy to be able to share with you what has worked for me and I do hope that within these pages you will be inspired to try it out, or to push yourself harder. I am still on my journey (yes, that elusive flat pre-baby tummy has yet to surface!) Β so join me! You don’t need tons of cash, you don’t need to be a chef (I certainly am not!) but with support and the right attitude, anything is possible. We all start somewhere – maybe this is your day πŸ™‚

I do hope that you enjoy reading through my ramblings, recipes, and random tidbits, and that you’re able to gain something from it all. Be well!

Thank you !

    • Hi Kelly, I don’t have any of my plans etc from my first few Reboots because I didn’t have a blog then and I was kinda winging it until I decided to get organisedπŸ˜„

The first Reboot is all about eating real food. Have a look at my most recent meal plans (so far, weeks 1 and 2 only), and adapt it to suit you. This isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ diet therefore there aren’t any official meal plans. The only advice I can give you for your first one is to keep it simple and stay away from the substitutes (so pseudo junk should be very limited if at all). There aren’t different versions of reboot so you very well could eat what I did for my sixth (bearing in mind I work out too).

The cravings will inevitably come, the first week or so is the WORST – but after you get over that first hurdle, it does get better! As you progress with this lifestyle, it really does get easier.

You can click on the menu tab for SG reboot and read my daily posts as I got through two reboots. Have a read through this post too πŸ™‚

      Hope that helps!

  1. Hi Melissa! Absolutely LOVE your blog and read your posts religiously. You are such an inspiration. Thank you for posting your Reboot Version 1 Meal Plan! Just printed it out and want to start prepping. I have been reading all the SleekGeek posts for about 6 months now, and finally feel ready to take it on! Do you perhaps have a shopping list for the meal plan posted? Would be a great help! Thanks!

    • Hi Irma, thank you so much! Glad you’re enjoying it all πŸ™‚ I don’t have a shopping list for this one – squeezed this post in as it was back to work today… Might work on one when I do weeks 2-4 of the V1 meals πŸ˜‰ Enjoy!!

  2. hi
I just started yesterday on my journey of Reboot & paleo lifestyle.
I love the Titanium Coffee – egg version. I was skeptical at first but I just gave in & tried it. I am so glad I did.
I am struggling with portion sizes, can you help please.
Example of what I had yesterday, Breakfast – Titanium coffee, 2 boiled eggs & half an avo, lunch- Chicken salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage carrots onions & 2 tablespoons paleo mayo(home made with added garlic & cayen pepper & paprika)
Supper – 1 Chicken Thigh marinated in coconut milk & desicated coconut & chilli & garlic spice & flax seeds.
2 Tablespoons of green beans with olive oil & garlic & 2 tablespoons baby marrow with olive oil & salt & pepper.
Afternoon snack was 2 bananas & 2 teaspoons cashew nut butter.
    1 cup blk coffee
1 cup Chai tea with almond milk

Please advise if my portion are too big.
    thanks

    • Tarryn,

The food looks good. I’d ease up on the bananas and nut butter but the thing about REBOOT is that it’s about what you’re eating, not how much. If your activity levels require more calories, then that’s what you do. If you’re sedentary, then you adjust accordingly. This isn’t a weightloss programme so there are no strict guidelines regarding portions. A REBOOT is going to be most successful when you stick with the healthier habits as you move forward.

I’d say you’re well on the right track πŸ‘ Eat until you’re just about hungry. Eat slowly and mindfully. Eat only when you’re hungry. Don’t think that you have to eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Some days I have one meal because I’m not very active and not hungry. Some days I eat everything in sight πŸ˜„

Well done to you so far βœŒοΈπŸ’• Also, ask questions in the group – you’ll have more than 26000 people to help you out! πŸ˜˜πŸ˜‰
